Case details

  • Subacute thermal burn (cooking fire in refugee camp)
  • Due to circumstances, initial evaluation was conducted remotely and then in-person 8 days after the initial injury.
  • Patient experienced significant discomfort/pain, damaged hair follicles, and suspected wound infection
  • Wound measured: 13.2 cm x 12.7 cm (167.6 cm2)
  • 10% Total Body Surface Area for an infant <1 year old
  • Endoform Natural initiated 8 days post initial injury following gentle debridement

  • Significant epithelialization of the wound
  • Evidence of early regeneration of hair follicles

Week 8

  • 100% epithelialized
  • Hair regrowth noted
