Myriad Morcells and Myriad Matrix Application​

  • Application of Myriad Morcells (1000 mg) to irregular wound bed and then Myriad Matrix (10 cm x 10 cm, 3-Layer) trimmed to size to fit the entire defect, and secured with non-absorbable suture​
  • Dressed with petroleum gauze contact layer and NPWT at 125 mmHg

Day 5 - Intra-operative Defect

  • Sharp debridement revealed further compromised tissue, resulting in resection of non-viable 4th ray and application of Myriad Morcells (1000 mg) to irregular wound bed
  • Noted integration of previous Myriad application with early coverage of exposed bone and tendon with granulation tissue
  • Dressed with petroleum gauze contact layer and NPWT at 125 mmHg

Week 2

  • Further development of vascularized granulation tissue
  • No sign of infection or complications

Week 4

  • Defect nearly covered in newly developed granulation tissue
  • 90% depth eradicated
  • No further exposed bone and tendon
  • No complications

Week 7

  • 100% depth eradicated and granulation tissue formed
  • No further exposed bone and tendon
  • No complications

Week 9

  • Reduction in wound area noted
  • Ready for STSG or healing by secondary intention

Week 12

  • Continued reduction in wound area
  • Plan to continue healing by secondary intention
  • No complications

Week 25

  • Fully epithelialized
  • Pliable tissue regenerated
  • No complications
  • Two applications of Myriad across the continuum of care
