55-year-old male

Medical history

  • Spina bifida with limited sensation to lower limb but no movement from T10
  • Stoma formation
  • Ileal conduit
  • Inpatient for 13-months. Current inpatient stay 6-months. 5 x surgical debridement, 2 x failed flap repair. 18-months community care
  • Previous Treatments: Failed surgical reconstructions, multiple debridements

  • Wound: currently tunnels to >2 cm
  • Wound age: 3 years
  • Treatment: Endoform Antimicrobial

  • Continue with Endoform Antimicrobial, twice weekly
  • Granulation tissue building in the base

  • Residual Endoform evident in the wound base

Week 3

  • Continue with Endoform Antimicrobial, twice weekly
  • Granulation tissue building in the base
  • Residual Endoform evident in the wound base

Week 5

  • Continue with Endoform Antimicrobial, twice weekly
  • Granulation tissue building in the base
  • Residual Endoform evident in the wound base

Week 6

  • Continue with Endoform Antimicrobial, twice weekly
  • Granulation tissue building in the base
  • Residual Endoform evident in the wound base

Week 8

  • Continue with Endoform Antimicrobial, twice weekly
  • Wound split during hoist transfer
  • Epithelial advancement at wound margins

Week 12

  • One small area left to close – otherwise fully healed
