Medical history

  • Mohs surgery performed for basal cell carcinoma on upper lip
  • History of skin cancer excision’s same location​

Case details

  • Wound Age:​ 0 weeks​
  • Previous Treatments:​ None​
  • Treatment:​ Endoform Natural covered with antibiotic ointment and non-adherent dressing
  • Wound size: 1.2 cm x 1.2 cm following excision

Day 0

  • Endoform applied and covered with antibiotic ointment and non-adherent dressing

Week 1

  • Endoform cut into confetti-like pieces and applied into wound​
  • Then a whole piece of Endoform over the confetti covered with antibiotic ointment and non-adherent dressing​
  • Case Notes:​ Defect reducing in size

Week 2

  • Endoform reapplied
  • Case notes: Defect smaller, depth reduced

Week 3

  • 100 % re-epithelialized
  • Minimal scar contracture
  • No distortion of cupids bow
